Dear Art Enthusiast,

The past three weeks have taken me outside the studio to paint en plein air, meaning outside in the open air. This has much value for the landscape painter. Seeing the landscape in its 3-D forms, listening to the birds, smelling the green grass and orchard blossoms all adds to the ambiance that makes its way into the artists’ work. It is a stimulating way to paint. The excitement carries on to my studio work.
