| Dear Art Enthusiast,
As I am preparing for the Ann Arbor show I decided to send my newsletter a week earlier than usual to highlight just a few of the pastel paintings that I will be showing. I will only have pastels at the show and since it is a “dry” medium, I will be listed under the Drawing Category in the Art Fair Guide. “Cutting Garden”, 18x18, will be featured in this year’s Art Fair Guide. I have worked on a series of small “cutting fields” paintings and then decided to try a larger version, hence, “Cutting Garden”. The garden that I worked from is owned by Marcy. She sells the flowers in bouquets and also dries them in her very old but well kept barn. Her husband has a neat apple orchard and grows the best varieties of apples. It keeps me going back. I think most people are pulled in and attracted to color. Color has a way of involving the senses and can put you in a happy or sad mood. Well, I like being around happy people so if you get a chance to visit my booth, I hope you will feel refreshed and enjoy looking at my colors! Warm Regards, Ann Arbor’s South University Art Fair, July 15-18 Booth #84 on South University Street |
