Dear Art Enthusiasts, This year promises to be an exciting year for me with many opportunities for shows and juried exhibits. I have been working hard at creating the best paintings possible for this year’s many upcoming shows. My goal is to supply my galleries with all new work for the spring/summer season. Please see my page for the updated list of this year’s exhibits. My blog, www.anartistsmark.blogspot.com is updated weekly with new plein air work, art talk, and antidotes of a painter. Pastel artists should be excited about the upcoming Great Lakes Pastel Society Convention to be held in Ann Arbor. I am honored to be on a panel discussion for “The Business of Art”. Anyone interested in attending the first ever convention in this area should see the website, www.glps.org for more information. Oval Beach Dune, was chosen to be shown in the Annual Celebration of the Arts exhibit this month. This pastel was inspired by a trip to Oval Beach in Douglas, MI this past October. I have painted the dunes before during the summer months, but was very excited to see all the beautiful colors surrounding the dunes this time of year. I also painted a large oil, 24x36 of the area, Dunes in Autumn that you can see on my website, Kalinowski Fine Art. Warm Wishes, |
